Dana Point Harbor

Dana Point Harbor is part of the California coast immortalized by Richard Henry Dana, Jr. in his 1840 book, Two Years Before the Mast, a memoir of his 2-year seafaring journey which began in Boston onboard a merchant ship called the Pilgrim. Today a replica of this 3-masted schooner is docked near the Ocean Institute at the harbor’s north end. The Pilgrim makes an annual voyage along the California coast during the summer to commemorate the area's rich maritime history, and it sails in Dana Point’s Tall Ships Festival every September. The poster captures an image of the historic Pilgrim as it sits dockside in Dana Point Harbor beneath a glowing orange sunset.

This poster is of archival quality. It is set on acid free stock using inks with 100+ year longevity. This will preserve their vibrant colors for many years.
