Historic Lifeguard Tower

The Lifeguard Tower at Main Beach has been an enduring landmark of Laguna Beach for many years. Although sections of the wooden boardwalk along this beach have been severely damaged or destroyed by severe Pacific storms, the Lifeguard Tower has always withstood their fury. Bill Atkins’ design for this poster was inspired in part by the Laguna Beach Historical Society whose records show that Laguna Beach was founded when its first post office opened in 1887. However, it wasn’t until 1929 that Laguna Beach was incorporated as a city.

This poster is a limited edition of just 199 prints signed and numbered by Bill Atkins. Because it is of archival quality, set on acid free stock using inks with 100+ year longevity, this poster will retain its vibrant colors for years to come.
